They were professional, reliable, on time and their attention to detail was excellent. The whole team worked well, communications were great and the finished job more than we could have ever hoped for.The long version. My fiancée and I decided to move to Caloundra from Brisbane and found an untouched 1970s timewarp apartment that was just what we were looking for – it had had nothing done to it in nearly 40 years but we could see the potential of the place. We found Marcio via some positive internet reviews and invited him, and other builders, to advise and quote for the renovations prior to signing the purchase contract. Our initial impressions were very good as Marcio was on time, professional and had some very good ideas that we, and the other builders, hadn’t considered. His quote was comprehensive, easy to understand and he was very happy to work with us to agree on a final set of works – we signed the purchase contract and decided to work with Marcio for the renovations.Prior to completion, Marcio went out of his way to meet with the agent and ourselves to gain access for site meetings, measurements and so forth. There was some reticence on our behalf in signing Marcio as it was a huge investment for us and we wouldn’t be on/near site for the duration of the works but we spoke with previous clients, and Marcio, and went with our gut feel – and that was a very good thing!Marcio considered the other tenants in the block, worked with the body corporate to secure permission for the works and introduced us to his valued partners (e.g. painting, plumbing, blinds etc) and then co-ordinated all the trades effectively and reliably. Something we’ve never seen a builder do before was to work with us and his suppliers to negotiate the best deal for us – we paid his trade prices, direct to his suppliers and without any additional mark up for himself and this resulted in some large savings for us across the whole build.Marcio collected the apartment keys on the contract completion date and the demolition team started on time the very next day. If there were any questions, challenges or suggestions Marcio was quick to communicate and presented a good range of solutions – we met him on-site twice during the month long renovation project and were always impressed with the work that had progressed and what was due to happen. The work was completed on time and to a very high standard and the few minor defects were attended to promptly and efficiently. The extra little details that Marcio included off his own back (e.g. impressive shower drain covers, tiling those extra spots, etc) were an added bonus to what was a fabulous job.We’ve now been living in our new home for 2 months and we’re very happy with the work done by Marcio and his team and can’t recommend him highly enough – you won’t do better.
